Jermaine Dye suspended

The league has suspended Chicago White Sox outfielder Jermaine Dye two games for his inappropriate actions after being called out on strikes to end the top of the sixth inning during his team's loss to the Cleveland Indians on Wednesday.

WHITE SOX OUTFIELDER DYE DISCIPLINED

Chicago White Sox outfielder Jermaine Dye has received a two-game suspension and has been fined an undisclosed amount for his inappropriate actions after being called out on strikes to end the top of the sixth inning during his Club’s game against the Cleveland Indians on Wednesday at Progressive Field in Cleveland.

Unless appealed, Dye's suspension is scheduled to begin tonight, when the White Sox play against the Toronto Blue Jays at the Rogers Centre in Toronto. If appealed, Dye's suspension will be held in abeyance until the process is completed.
