MLB should follow LPGA's lead

In case anyone missed it, and you probably did since the LPGA gets about as much attention as the Westminster Dog Show around here, the LPGA announced that starting in 2009, golfers on the tour will be forced to pass an English proficiency test and if they fail, they will be suspended from the golf tournament and not let back on tour until they improve their speaking skills.

Kudos to them. Forget the fact that it is probably illegal, but I have been saying this for years about baseball. Not to go all Archie Bunker here, but it drives me nuts that some of these players don't even make an effort to learn the language.
