The Pittsburgh Pirates may be close to trading outfielder Jason Bay to the Tampa Bay Rays for a couple of prospects. Reportedly the players coming back to the Steel City will be shortstop Reid Brignac and right-hander Jeff Niemann.
Pittsburgh is apparently holding out for lefty David Price. Good luck with that.
By the way one of those prospects is better than anything the Yankees gave up for Xavier Nady and Damaso Marte.
